Sell Your Practice on Your Terms

If you own your practice and want to retire, work fewer hours, or remove the burden of ownership, we offer a variety of options to sell your practice while empowering veterinarians like you.

We put ownership back into the hands of individual veterinarians, no matter where you’re at in your career.

We Work With You

We’re helping veterinarians at all stages of their careers, including selling your practice. We offer:

Flexible Timelines – Unlike other companies, we work with you on a leadership structure that allows you to stay or exit. Our unique model, which advances individual Partner Veterinarians, works with your unique situation and desires.

Customized Deal Structures –  While other buyers require complex deal structures, we can offer all cash, earnouts, notes, or any combination to ensure your future goals are met.

Empowering Teams – We care about you and your team. Our focus is building and operating veterinary hospitals that are community-focused, collaborative, have a great culture, and offer compassionate veterinary care.

FAQ

What types of hospitals are you acquiring?
At Hometown Veterinary Partners, we pride ourselves on offering more flexibility than most partnerships available to veterinarians. We typically focus on acquiring hospitals located near metro areas that specialize in general practice. However, if your practice doesn’t fit our traditional model but you’re interested in partnering with us, we encourage you to reach out! We’d love to explore potential opportunities together.
Do you work with solo veterinary practices?

Yes, we absolutely do! At Hometown Veterinary Partners, we understand the unique challenges and strengths of solo veterinary practices. We’re here to support your growth, offering customized solutions that fit your needs and help you achieve your goals while preserving the individuality of your practice.

What if I don't have a broker?

You don’t have to work with a broker to partner with Hometown Veterinary Partners. We’re happy to work directly with you to simplify the process and make it as smooth as possible. However, if you prefer to have a broker involved, we’re more than willing to collaborate with them as well. Our goal is to make the transition seamless, whether you’re working with a broker or handling things on your own.

What if I don't want to retire?

That’s perfectly okay! At Hometown Veterinary Partners, we believe in creating flexible partnerships that meet your goals, whether you’re looking to stay actively involved in your practice or gradually transition out over time. We work with veterinarians who want to continue doing what they love while also benefiting from the support and resources of a larger network.

What does the acquisition process look like?

Our acquisition process is straightforward and designed to be as smooth as possible. It typically involves four main steps:

  1. Initial Conversation: We start by getting to know you and your practice. We’ll discuss your goals, vision for the future, and any questions you might have.

  2. Valuation and Offer: Next, we conduct a thorough evaluation of your practice to determine its value. Based on this, we’ll present you with a fair and competitive offer.

  3. Agreement and Due Diligence: If you decide to move forward, we’ll work together on the terms of the agreement and conduct a detailed review to ensure a seamless transition.

  4. Transition and Integration: Once the agreement is finalized, we’ll focus on integrating your practice into our network with the least disruption possible. You’ll have our full support to help make the transition smooth for you, your team, and your clients.

Throughout the entire process, our goal is to create a partnership that aligns with your needs and vision, making it as transparent and stress-free as possible.

Are you a corporation?

At Hometown Veterinary Partners we are not a corporation. Our entity is set up as a partnership, founded by individuals who have transitioned from corporate veterinary practices. We are driven by a commitment to fostering a culture of empowerment and support, aiming to provide the best possible care for pets.

Real Experiences

For the first time ever, I didn't have to worry about my business when I had a major life event.

I was pleased to sell my practice at a reasonable price and retire on a timeline that worked for all.
