Meet Dr. Diaphni Taylhardat: Compassion, Experience, and a Heart for Pets
With more than 17 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Diaphni Taylhardat brings an incredible blend of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to every patient she cares for. Her journey in veterinary medicine began at the Central University of Venezuela, where she earned her degree and discovered her lifelong passion for helping animals.
A Diverse Background in Animal Care
Dr. Taylhardat’s career has spanned both large and small animal medicine. For over a decade, she worked closely with horses, specializing in equine reproduction and teaching in the equine department at her alma mater. After moving to the U.S. in 2018, she transitioned into small animal medicine—first as a veterinary technician, then as a practicing veterinarian starting in 2022. This unique background allows her to approach veterinary care with a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding of both animal health and owner relationships.
Her Approach to Veterinary Medicine
What sets Dr. Taylhardat apart is her compassionate and educational approach. She believes preventive care and early detection are the foundations of long-term health, and she makes sure every pet parent feels informed and supported. Whether she’s explaining treatment options or celebrating small victories in a pet’s recovery, she brings patience, empathy, and clarity to each visit.
A Commitment to Community
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Taylhardat gives her time to the Animal Rescue Coalition, a low-cost spay/neuter organization that helps pets and their families in need. Her dedication to animal welfare extends beyond her patients—she is passionate about making a difference in the community as well.
Life Beyond the Hospital
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Taylhardat enjoys spending time with her son, cheering him on at soccer practices and games. At home, she treasures every moment with Tabby, her 15-year-old diabetic cat. She also loves mentoring colleagues, and one of her proudest moments came when she guided a new graduate through a life-saving dental procedure. Looking ahead, she plans to pursue a specialization in internal medicine to continue expanding her knowledge and skills.
And here’s a fun fact: one day, Dr. Taylhardat dreams of having a pet raccoon!
